Moorland

I stopped using source materials some time ago, with the exception of occasionally working directly from sketches. This was a deliberate decision, to force myself to think more about what was happening in front of me, and to force myself to loosen up.
I like my paintings to have have one foot in representation, with larger areas of 'suggestion'. This piece, however, has both feet in representation.
Below The Melt Line.
